Charlene Oh
Founder and CEO of Pawkit
Charlene is the Founder and CEO of Pawkit, a Singapore-based pet tech company that has quickly become a trusted platform for mobile and at-home pet care services. Pawkit now offers a comprehensive range of services, including veterinary care, grooming, pet sitting, and dog walking, all designed to meet the needs of today’s pet owners.
With a strong passion for animals and a deep understanding of the challenges pet owners face, Charlene founded Pawkit to make high-quality pet care more accessible and convenient.
Charlene is also a Level 3 certified canine hydrotherapist, having graduated from Greyfriars Veterinary Rehabilitation Centre, and a certified massage therapist, having completed her mentorship with Canis Bodyworks in Chicago, Illinois. These qualifications highlight her commitment to delivering holistic care for pets.
Charlene is focused on expanding Pawkit’s network of professional caregivers and continuously enhancing service offerings to address the evolving demands of pet owners in Singapore.
Outside of work, Charlene is an avid wakesurfer and snowboarder. She spends quality time with her husband in a lively household of 3 dogs, 4 cats, and 3 chickens.
Dr. Joey Koh, DVM
Founding member and Medical Advisor at Pawkit
Dr. Joey currently serves as the Medical Advisor at Pawkit, where she plays a pivotal role in ensuring the health and wellness of pets by providing expert medical insights across the services offered. Her expertise allows Pawkit to provide holistic care, where every aspect of a pet’s well-being is thoughtfully integrated into our services.
Dr. Joey graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2020. She began her career in a small animal practice in Perth, Australia, before returning to Singapore in 2022, where she has continued to develop her skills across various clinics.
Passionate about dermatology and aquatic medicine, Dr. Joey is dedicated to expanding her knowledge and staying at the forefront of veterinary science.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Joey is an avid explorer of diverse cuisines, always eager to discover new flavors and culinary experiences, and cherishes quality time with her beloved 14-year-old Poodle Cross, Creamy.
Mikaela Lee
Resident Groomer
With six years of professional grooming and a background in animal-assisted therapy, Mikaela combines her expertise and experience to deliver the best grooming experience for every furkid that comes under her care. She places each pet’s comfort before hers, and tailors her approach to each animal, providing them with the most stress-free and positive experience possible.
Mikaela's dedication to her art extends beyond her grooming sessions. She is committed to continuous learning, regularly researching new techniques and materials to enhance the grooming process for pets. Mikaela strives to provide the highest quality service, making each grooming session as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
At Pawkit, Mikaela plays the role of vetting and onboarding groomers that join Pawkit. She ensure that all groomers follow the standard procedures and code of conduct.
Out of work, Mikaela enjoys doing crafts and spending time with her adorable cat Hojicha.
Serene Pwee
Content Creator Intern
With a Diploma in Veterinary Technology and a strong passion for the arts, Serene is able to combine both the artistic intricacies of content creation with the scientific knowledge of animal care. At Pawkit, she creates pet-based social media content, from infographics to short videos, to spread our reach in Singapore.
Serene has various experiences within the animal industry, ranging from working in a pet retail store to interning as a veterinary technician in Singapore Zoo.
Serene spends her free time doing digital illustration, photography and creating videos of her own.
